Welcome to Adjah Cancer Support Ghana
In a given year over 24,000 people may be diagnosed with cancer in Ghana, over 15,000 people will die from cancer. Due to the cost implications of treatment, persons diagnosed with the disease spend more time to pay for the cost of treatment, and that had increased the number of patients who returned to the hospital with advanced cases of the disease, making treatment very difficult.
Some cancer patients travel from the Northern Region, Afram Plains in the Eastern Region, and other faraway places to access medical care at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital which adds more cost to the burden of treatment.
